manage your on premises servers in azure portal

In this post I will install Microsoft Azure Server Management Tools and Gateway on a on premises Windows Server 2016 Core.

Create a Server management tools connection on portal.azure.com

Click to configure gateway.

Generate a package link.

Download and copy the installer package to the designated server.

Run the installer with the json profile.

use an existing certificate or create a self-signed certificate.

Click Manage as to enter admin credentials

Once the Server Management tools gateway is connected, I am able to add other member servers.

In this post I have added my physical nano server with Hyper-V

From here on I am able to control all my VM’s directly in Azure Portal.  Pretty cool!
